For the 5th time now, professional mountainbike rider and Perspactives Ambassador Rene Wildhaber invited young mountainbike talents from Switzerland and Liechtenstein to join his training camp “Wildi’s Füchse” at BikerBerg Flumserberg. Everything you need to know about the camp, right here.

Saturday 9 AM. Anticipation and excitement was in the air, when eight youngsters between 11 and 15 years arrived at BikerShop Flumserberg in Tannheim. The initial excitement, quickly turned into motivation and happiness as the kids hopped on their bikes.

Airtime and carving skills on point!

You could definitely tell that the participants get to ride their bike quite often, as you could see them flying through the air on the BlueSalamander trail. Although their riding was already awesome, Rene was able to give them some good advice, mainly using video analytics on his Samsung Tablet. “The Foxes obviously made some progress when it came to riding technique”, Rene Wildhaber said “The change of the weather made it possible to train in different conditions. There was sun on Saturday, so the trails were super dusty – on Sunday it was cold and pretty wet.”

Having fun – not only on the bike

Later that day the foxes made their way to the Alpenlodge Prod, where they would stay for the night. After having some self-made “Älplermagronen” with tons of cheese, everyone came together at the campfire to round off the day in a chill atmosphere. The program on Sunday included more bike riding, but also a ride with the so called “FLOOMZER” – an alpine coaster.

René Wildhaber is stoked!

On Sunday evening, there was the time to say goodbye. The kids were tired but also super happy. Rene Wildhaber was stoked as well: “The motivation and willingness to learn was extremely high. I’m already looking forward to the camp next year!!”
