Team Samsung 1 did it again – As a 6-headed Team Tristan Marguet, Désirée Ehrler, triathlete Florian Salvisberg, the ex-pros Alessandro Ballan and Marcel Aregger as well as Samsung Sales Director Dario Casari took the win at the Tortour, the 1.000 km race across Switzerland in 31.5 hours. It is their third win in a row.

Tortour – the hardest bike race in Switzerland!

The race starts in Schaffhausen at the famous Rhine Falls. From there, the bikers are struggling over the Oberalppass, followed by the Sustenpass with the highest point of the race (2.224m). Continuing in direction of Interlaken and Lausanne, the racers are going right next to the French boarder and the Rhine, back to Schaffhausen. 1.000 km, 13.000m altitude difference and a change of riders every 50km. It might sound horrible, but the scenery with its unique landscapes and the unforgettable emotions is what makes the Tortour so special.

It’s Samsung’s third year and also their third win! With an incredible team, consisting of pro riders but also Samsung’s Sales Director who obviously is a bike nerd, plus Franco Marvulli as their team captain, they created quite a solid foundation.  Due to an injury, Patrick Seabase, the swiss fixed gear rider, unfortunately couldn’t join the race. He was still motivated to support his team, so he just hopped on the support van, picked up his camera and was able to take some really cool shots, which you can see below!
